PDF to Excel With Formulas
A PDF only contains the results of calculations – the formulas that produced them are not stored in the file. That's true for every PDF, no matter which converter you use.
What Sehnna does today: numbers in your PDF become real numeric cells, so you can add formulas yourself immediately. Automatic formula suggestions are part of the AI extraction that is coming soon.

Add totals in three steps
- Convert your PDF and open the XLSX file.
- Click the empty cell below a column of amounts.
- Type =SUM( , select the amounts, close the bracket and press Enter.
Why the numbers are ready for formulas
Many converters put numbers into Excel as text, which breaks SUM and sorting. Sehnna recognises values like 1,234.50 and stores them as real numbers, while keeping IDs with leading zeros as text.
