What to expect from the Word file
PDF and Word store documents very differently: a PDF fixes every letter to a position on the page, while Word flows text into paragraphs. PDFConvertFast rebuilds the text as editable paragraphs, headings and tables. Fonts, colours, images and the exact page layout are not copied, so the document will look simpler than the PDF – but you can edit everything.
Scanned PDFs are images of text. They need OCR (text recognition) first, which PDFConvertFast does not offer yet.

PDF to Word – frequently asked questions
How do I convert a PDF to an editable Word document?
Choose your PDF, decide how page breaks should be handled and click “Convert to Word”. The text is rebuilt as paragraphs, headings and tables, and you download a DOCX file with the same name as your PDF. You can then edit everything in Word.
Will the Word document look exactly like my PDF?
No. You get the text as editable paragraphs, headings and simple tables, set in Word’s Calibri font. Fonts, colours, images, logos and the exact position of each element are not copied, so the document looks simpler than the PDF.
Are tables in the PDF turned into real Word tables?
Yes, when the table has clearly aligned columns: two or more lines in a row that split into separate columns become a Word table. Tables with irregular spacing can come out as normal paragraphs, and merged header cells are not rebuilt. If you want to calculate with the numbers, use PDF to Excel instead.
Does PDF to Word keep the headings of my document?
Yes. Short lines set in a noticeably larger font than the body text become Word headings (Heading 1 for the largest, Heading 2 for the rest), so they appear in Word’s navigation pane. Headings are recognised by size only – a bold title in normal text size stays a normal paragraph.
What is the difference between “Keep PDF page breaks” and “Continuous text”?
“Keep PDF page breaks” starts every PDF page on a new page in Word, so the page structure stays the same. “Continuous text” lets the text of all pages flow on, and Word sets the page breaks itself – handy if you plan to rewrite or shorten the text.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
No. A scanned PDF only contains pictures of text and would need OCR (text recognition), which PDFConvertFast does not offer. If no selectable text is found, you get a message instead of an empty file. If only some pages are scanned, the other pages are converted and the result tells you how many pages had no text.
Why do page numbers and headers appear in the middle of my Word text?
All text on each PDF page is converted, including running headers, footers and page numbers. They end up between your paragraphs, especially with “Continuous text”. Delete them in Word after converting.
Does PDF to Word work with Arabic or Hebrew PDFs?
Yes. Right-to-left lines are read from right to left and written as right-to-left paragraphs and tables in the DOCX file. As with any PDF, this only works if the text can be selected.
Can I convert a confidential PDF to Word without uploading it?
Yes. The PDF is read and the Word file is created in your browser on your own device, so the document is never uploaded to a server or stored. That makes it suitable for contracts, letters and other private documents.
Is PDF to Word free, and how large can the PDF be?
It is free, with no signup, no watermark and no limit on how many PDFs you convert. Each PDF can be up to 50 MB.
