Rotate once, fixed everywhere
Turning a page in a PDF viewer usually only changes the view – the next person who opens the file sees it sideways again. This tool changes the rotation stored in the PDF itself, so the corrected orientation is saved and every viewer shows it the same way.
Only the rotation is changed. Text, images and quality stay exactly as they are, and the file size hardly changes.
Typical cases
Need to turn individual pages in different directions? The PDF editor lets you rotate each page separately and also reorder or delete pages.
- Scanned documents that come out sideways or upside down.
- Double-sided scans where every second page is upside down – rotate only the even pages by 180°.
- Landscape tables or plans inside a portrait document.

Rotate PDF – frequently asked questions
How do I rotate a PDF and save it permanently?
Choose your PDF, pick the direction and click “Rotate PDF”, then download the file. Unlike turning the view in a PDF viewer, the new orientation is stored in the file itself, so it opens the right way for everyone.
Should I choose “90° right” or “90° left”?
“90° right” turns the pages clockwise, “90° left” counter-clockwise. If the top of the page currently points to the left, choose “90° right”; if it points to the right, choose “90° left”. For upside-down pages, choose “180° (upside down)”.
Can I rotate only some pages of a PDF?
You can rotate “All pages”, only “Odd pages (1, 3, 5…)” or only “Even pages (2, 4, 6…)”. Choosing individual pages, such as only page 4, is not possible with this tool.
My double-sided scan has every second page upside down. How do I fix it?
Choose “180° (upside down)” and then “Even pages” or “Odd pages”, depending on which pages are wrong, and click “Rotate PDF”. All affected pages are fixed in one step.
Why are my pages still sideways after rotating?
The rotation is added to the page’s current orientation, so you probably picked the opposite direction. Rotate the downloaded file once more with “180° (upside down)” – or start again from the original with the other 90° option.
Why does it say “This PDF has no even pages to rotate”?
Your PDF has only one page, and you chose “Even pages”. Select “All pages” or “Odd pages” to rotate that page.
Does rotating a PDF change its quality or content?
No. Only the orientation setting of the pages changes; text, images and page content are not re-rendered or compressed. Text stays selectable, and the file size stays about the same.
What is the rotated file called?
The download gets “-rotated” added to the original name, for example “scan-rotated.pdf”. Your original PDF is not changed.
Can I rotate a PDF on my phone?
Yes. Open this page in Safari, Chrome or another current browser on iPhone or Android, choose the PDF from your files and tap “Rotate PDF”. PDFs up to 100 MB are supported.
Is my PDF uploaded when I rotate it?
No. The rotation is applied in your browser on your own device, and the PDF is never sent to a server or stored.
